Charging Performance and Speed

The JR-PBM01 pushes 20W through its wired ports, delivering 9V at 2.22A or 12V at 1.67A to devices that support PD fast charging. Both the Type-C port and Lightning1 cable output the full 20W, charging a typical smartphone battery from 0 to 50 percent in around 30 minutes. The wireless charging pad automatically detects compatible devices and adjusts output between 5W for older phones, 7.5W for iPhones 8 through 11, 10W for Samsung Galaxy models, and 15W for iPhone 12 and newer when using MagSafe-compatible cases or no case at all.

Battery Capacity and Recharging

The 10000mAh lithium polymer battery holds 38.5Wh of energy, which translates to a rated output of 5800mAh at 5V after conversion losses. This capacity fully charges an iPhone 14 approximately 2.2 times or a Samsung Galaxy S23 around 1.8 times. You can recharge the power bank itself through either the Type-C port or the Lightning1 cable. Using a 9V 2A charger, the bank refills in roughly 3.5 hours. The multi-port output limit is 5V at 2.4A, so charging two devices simultaneously reduces the total wattage to 12W shared between ports.

Magnetic Attachment and Kickstand Design

N52H grade neodymium magnets create a 1600g pull force that holds MagSafe-compatible iPhones securely during wireless charging. The magnetic ring aligns perfectly with iPhone 12, 13, 14, and 15 series phones, maintaining connection even when the phone is lifted or tilted. The 103 × 68 mm footprint is intentionally narrow to avoid covering the phone’s rear cameras during use. A foldable kickstand extends from the back, propping the phone and power bank assembly at approximately 60 degrees for video watching or video calls while maintaining the magnetic charge.

Built-In Cables and Port Options

Two Lightning cables emerge from the power bank body: Lightning1 supports both input and output at full 20W, while Lightning2 handles input at 9V 2A or output at the same wattage. The Type-C port operates bidirectionally, accepting 9V 2A input or delivering 20W output. The cables detach when not needed, reducing cable clutter in a bag. The digital LED display sits on the front face, showing battery level in 1 percent increments and illuminating a wireless charging icon when a device is magnetically attached and drawing power.

Build Quality and Safety Features

The outer shell uses PC+ABS plastic rated for fire resistance, meeting standard safety requirements for portable batteries. A smart temperature control chip monitors cell temperature and throttles charging speed if the battery or connected device exceeds safe operating temperatures. The 216g weight distributes across the 20.5mm thickness, making the bank light enough for front-pocket carry. All three input ports accept charge simultaneously, though only the highest-voltage input will actively charge the bank to prevent circuit conflicts.

Who Should Buy the Joyroom JR-PBM01 Power Bank

iPhone 12 and newer users benefit most from the magnetic wireless charging and built-in Lightning cables, eliminating the need to carry a separate MagSafe charger and cable for travel or daily commutes. Multi-device owners with both iPhone and Android phones can charge two devices simultaneously using the Lightning and Type-C cables, making the bank a single solution for mixed-ecosystem households. Video consumers who watch content on their phones during lunch breaks or commutes gain hands-free viewing with the kickstand while maintaining battery charge.

Things to Check Before You Buy

The 15W wireless output only works with iPhone 12, 13, 14, and 15 series phones that support MagSafe; older iPhones and non-MagSafe Android phones will charge wirelessly at lower wattages or not attach magnetically at all. When using multiple ports at once, total output drops to 12W shared, so fast charging speeds will not apply.

The built-in Lightning cables suit iPhone users but provide no benefit to Android-only households, who may prefer a single Type-C cable model. The 216g weight adds noticeable bulk when attached to the back of a phone, which may feel awkward during extended handheld use.
